11/22/63 by Stephen King

Well, it only took me 2-1/2 week to finish this book, less time than I thought. But those last few hundred pages fly by when you want to know what's going to happen.

If you haven't read 11/22/63, do! This was one of the most original ideas and executed novels I've read in a long time. Surprising doesn't describe it. Original. Fascinating. Thought provoking. And a few dozen more adjectives might start to do it justice.

I was especially impressed with the detail from 1958 to 1963. I was around for most of that time but very young, so I don't know firsthand how accurate ol' Steve was, but I have a feeling, pretty.

Have you read this book? Are you going to?

Now & Then by Jacqueline Sheehan

Okay. I started reading Now & Then by Jacqueline Sheehan and just got into a chapter that, I must say, was put in the right place. I mean, if this nonsense had happened in the story right off the bat, I'd have closed it and reached for another book.

Time travel.

I'm not a fan of science fiction or fantasy. Give me the real stuff. Relationships. Mundane life. Heck, I'll take murder. Just keep it real. But the story had moved along enough that I was interested in the characters thus far so will continue reading it. And the writing is good.

Do you like time travel or other phenomena that may or may not (admit it, probably not) really happen?
